Why does LABC have Awards?

The LABC Awards have been hugely successful in recent years and have been their best relationship marketing tool helping to retain and develop customers. However, the awards need to be refreshed and developed further focussing on:

l building LABC brand recognition;

l promoting and marketing LABC to customers;

l providing recognition to customers for excellent work;

l encouraging excellent building standards, technical innovation and environmental sustainable buildings

The name “LABC Building Excellence Awards” (changed in 2009), defines LABCs “space”… which is excellence achieved through building standards, technical innovation and sustainable designs. This name gives clarification and differentiates LABC awards from the other awards in the industry.

Entries and Nominations

From 2009 the only entry route for customers to the national awards will be by nomination as a regional award winner. From 2010, all regional winners will be eligible as finalists for the National Building Excellence Awards.

All regional winners will be judged. These projects will be featured via photos on the main screen at the national event. The finalists chosen from these projects will be publicised on the LABC websites and Awards website, as well as through press releases.
