Work Choice Supported Employment
Disabled people can often face complex barriers to finding and retaining work, but Work Choice can provide advice and support to both the employee/potential employee and employer to make employment a success.
Coastal
The COASTAL Project covers 6 local authority areas of Carmarthenshire, Nealth Port Talbot, Swansea, Bridgend, Pemebrokeshire and Ceredigion, aimed at promoting vocational guidance, employment, skills training and lifelong learning opportunites for individuals aged 16-64 who are currently econmically inactive as a result of illness, disability, substance misuse problems and/or the serious social disadvantage associated with the transition from long-term care into adulthood.
Arena Supported Employment
Arena is a specialist employment agency for people with a learning disability. Arena aims to establish employment opportunities for people with high support needs in valued work settings, either paid or voluntary. Click here for further information and contact details.
STEPS 1
STEPS 1 is based in Cross Hands. STEPS 1 offers opportunities for individuals with a learning disability to develop their skills, within a range of training programmes, with appropriate level of support. In STEPS 1 training and accreditation can be gained in light assembly work, woodwork and packaging.
STEPS 2
STEPS 2 is based in Carmathen. STEPS 2 offers opportunities for individuals with a learning disability to develop their skills, within a range of training programmes, with appropriate level of support. In STEPS 2 training and accreditation can be gained in woodwork, information technology, craft, catering training and horticulture.
STEPS 3
STEPS 3 is based in Trostre, Llanelli. STEPS 3 offers opportunities for individuals with a learning disability to develop their skills within a range of training programmes, with appropriate level of support. In STEPS 3 training and accrediation can be gained in woodwork, information technology, craft, catering training and horticulture.
The COASTAL Project is part funded by the European Social Fund, as part of the 2007-2013 West Wales & The Valley Convergence Programme.
