Carmarthenshire Torch Relay ~ Club Member Torch Bearers
For Carmarthenshire Sports Development Team, 27th February - 28th March will be ‘torch relay month’ as they run over 100 miles carrying a Carmarthenshire torch in a bid to inspire the county’s young people as a prelude to the official London 2012 Torch Relay.
The event, which will start at Emlyn School and finish at Ysgol Pantycelyn, will spend at least a day in each of Carmarthenshire’s 18 secondary and special schools. All stages of the journey will be completed on foot with a number of runners taking part including Sport Development Officers, Gold Young Ambassadors, elite sportspeople and school pupils.
We would like to offer a member of your club the opportunity to take part in this eagerly awaited event, and invite them to apply for a chance to be a torch bearer during the course of the Torch Relay.
