  • 8 Paddling pools
  • 11 Multi Ball areas
  • 8 Skateboard areas
  • 2 Riverside Walks

Playgrounds

Carmarthenshire County Council has 121 playgrounds with facilities to cater for users of  all ages.  The playground areas vary in size and location and are regularly inspected to ensure they continue to meet health and safety requirements.

It’s our aim to provide challenging, fun and safe playgrounds that are available to all.  We recognise that play is vital for children and young people to make friends, to learn about themselves and also about the world around them.  Traditional play equipment such as swings and roundabout are available along with areas for older children, for example skateboard ramps and open spaces.

Sport Facilities

The Grounds Maintenance Service have a variety of outdoor pitches available for hire at different parks around the County.

Football and Rugby pitches are available during the winter and cricket pitches, tennis courts and bowling greens during the summer.  Most of these facilities also have changing rooms and showers.
