The council operates markets throughout Carmarthenshire, which offer a wide selection of products, including butchers, fish mongers specialist cheeses, delicatessens, cafes, fresh fruit and vegetables, fashion, antiques and much more.

The two main markets in Carmarthen and Llanelli are located in the town centres, each a fascinating place offering a mix of old and new. Overflowing with Welsh culture, colourful heaps of fresh fruit and vegetables and reasonably priced interesting and useful stalls. Both markets offer shoppers enormous variety and choice, in an inviting and friendly atmosphere.

Carmarthen Provision Market & Shops



The market hall is open six days a week with an open air market each Wednesday and Saturday. Carmarthen is an historical town and is a must see for any visitor. The town is in the heart of Carmarthenshire with good links to both the coast of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.

Situated within the town centre, with its ample parking, the market is open six days a week, with a street market every Thursday and Saturday. The town centre is car free, and offers a safe environment to shop, eat alfresco, or just stroll. The town offers a Cinema, Leisure Centre and easy access to the Millennium Coastal Park.
