Welcome to the Census 2001 web pages

This Census site has been prepared under the Carmarthenshire County Council 2001 Census Plan, in order to place statistics, relating to the county, online as part of the Governments’ e-initiative.

It contains County data, statistics by electoral ward and community ward, plus many datasets compiled from the results from the 2001 census including a comparison to the 1991 census and a link to the 1901 census. You will also find information on the Census Test that took place in Carmarthenshire in 2007.
