Annual Report on Our Performance

This Annual Report is produced by the Council because we believe we should provide comprehensive information to the public about our services so that they can see how well we are performing and the challenges we are facing. We want to make the most of the resources we have and despite budgetary reductions improve where we can and find new and innovative ways to deliver services.

It is a self evaluation and we try to be as open and honest as we can. Where possible we use customer satisfaction data, performance indicator results and comparisons and external regulators findings to inform our findings. Over the years we have been doing this our balanced and fair approach has been recognised by our external regulators.

Assessing what we are doing is an essential part of the improvement cycle. Due to this essential step in the improvement process it is also a statutory requirement under the Local Government (Wales) Act 2009.
