Explore Pendine’s famous history as the “Sands of Speed”.The museum overlooks the long beach famous for attemptsat the world land speed record and motor bike racing.
The main exhibit for July to September is usually 'Babs', the motor carraced by Parry-Thomas to the world record in 1926.
Babs was buried in Pendine Sands after Thomas died trying to reclaimthe record the following year. She lay there for 42 years until being dug up and restored to her former glory.
Motor bikes from Pendine’s racing past are also on show.Museum facilities include:• Parking nearby• Disabled parking space• Disabled access • Hearing loop• Guide dogs• Shop• Beach venue

This season the Museum will be open betweenFriday, 6th April (Good Friday) and Sunday, 30th September.
We are closed every Monday, except for Bank Holiday Mondays*when normal opening hours will apply.
