The Supporting People Programme funds services which help people to develop the skills and the confidence to be able to manage to live independently in their own homes.  Over £6 million is invested in Housing Related Support Services.  Research undertaken recently shows that this saves other areas of the public purse over £16 million or for every £1 spent on Supporting People services, £2.30 is saved in other service areas. This document summarises the findings of that research.
