Carmarthenshire County Council, together with our partner Housing Associations and following widespread consultation, has changed how we now allocate our homes.
We no longer have a housing waiting list. This has been replaced with a housing register assessed on housing need. Points are awarded by placing a household into 1 of 4 categories. This ranges from Category A, which gives the highest points through to Category D, which gives the lowest points.
The following Housing Associations use the same policy to allocate homes:
- Bro Myrddin Housing Association
- Coastal Housing Association
- Cymdeithas Tai Cantref
- Family Housing Association
- Gwalia Housing Group
