Job Application Guidance Notes

The information provided on the application form is the only information that will be used in the shortlisting process.

It is therefore important that the guidance notes are followed when completing the application form.

This will ensure all the relevant information is available to make a decision on whether you will be shortlisted for interview.

Shortlisting will involve assessment of the details provided on the application form against the criteria outlined in the Person Specification provided.

Applications will be accepted in other formats where an applicant has difficulty completing the standard form as a result of disability.

If you require the application form in another format, such as large print please contact Carmarthenshire Direct on 01267 234567 or email: Direct@carmarthenshire.gov.uk

Acknowledgement of Applications

If you are not called for interview within six weeks of the closing date, please assume you have been unsuccessful in your application.

E-mail Applications

If the Job Details does not include an email address for completed application forms to be returned to, you must return your form by post or fax to the contact address detailed in the job pack by the deadline stated.

If you are emailing your application you should be aware that Internet e-mail is not a secure medium as there is a small risk that messages can be intercepted and read by someone else. Please bear this in mind when deciding whether to send your application by this method. Alternatively, you can apply online now using our new secure e-application form.
