Park and Ride

The service was re-launched on Monday 13th June, and in order to make the continuation of the service viable, the timetable has been revised so that the service now runs every 20 minutes. The first bus will leave the car park at Nantyci at 0700 and from the bus stop at Lammas Street at 0710. The last bus will leave Nantyci at 1840 and Lammas Street at 1850. In addition to the 20 minute frequency, there will be an extra journey at 0830 from the Car Park to the Town centre in order to provide a more convenient service during the morning peak.

Passenger comments had indicated that users would be prepared to pay a reasonable charge in order to ensure that the service continued. A small charge will therefore be made to users as a contribution towards the operating costs. The car park will continue to be free, and passengers will be required to pay for their bus travel only.

The bus fare has been kept to a minimum in order to encourage continued use of the service, with adults paying only £1 each for a day return ticket. Wales Concessionary Travel Pass holders will be able to travel free of charge on production of a valid Travel Pass. Children (under 16) will also be allowed to travel free of charge if travelling with an adult.
